Who we are looking for:

Crisis24’s Crisis Security Consulting (CSC) Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) department is seeking an Associate Consultant (AC) to join the Ukraine-based team and support broader project objectives. The successful applicant will work from Kyiv and may travel to support Response and Consulting activities across Ukraine and Europe. The role requires preferably a relevant Master’s degree (MA) or alternatively,  Bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years of relevant experience and language skills, including fluency in Ukrainian and English.

What you will work on:

The successful candidate will promptly assume a variety of responsibilities supporting CSC, with approximately 50% focus on Security Risk Management and 50% on account and project management, including administrative tasks. No two days are alike. Your work will include, but is not limited to, bespoke reporting and threat assessments across the CEE region, analysing data before presenting it to clients, supporting ground operations during domestic and international deployments, and editing and proofreading your peers’ work. The candidate will also need to support out-of-hours tasks when required.

Who you will work with:

The successful candidate will work predominantly with the CEE team but will also work as part of the wider CSC AC Team, often collaborating with Crisis24 and partners.

What you will bring:

Required

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in International Relations, Security Studies, or a related field. Alternatively,  Bachelor’s degree in a similar field with 1-3 years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience in accounting and administrative tasks aligned with project management and client requirements.
  • Stakeholder engagement: address client queries and administrative tasks. 
  • A demonstrable understanding of the relevant security picture and prominent threats in Ukraine and the wider CEE region.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure in diverse and dynamic environments across the CEE region.
  • Integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling sensitive information.
  • Solid understanding of Security and Risk Management principles aligned with best practice standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal English and Ukrainian
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • A proactive team player, capable of operating independently when required.
  • Genuine interest in geopolitical and security developments and their impact on global sectors.
  • IT literate, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Windows programs and applications.
  • This is a Kyiv-based position.

Preferred

  • A knowledge of cyber threats, cyber threat actors and malware/ransomware variants.
  • Experience of working on hybrid warfare threats and their implications for businesses.
  • Understanding of OSINT monitoring platforms and applications.
  • Knowledge of using SalesForce or similar account management tools.
  • Experience in logistics requests and operations.

Work Structure

  • This is a Kyiv-based position, other suitable locations within Ukraine will be considered.
  • The role offers Work From Home (WFH); however, there will be periods of working in an office for periods of up to four weeks at a time.
  • Some working on the weekends will be required.
