Chemonics International, a global consulting and international development firm, seeks multiple administrative and grant management professionals for the USAID-funded Competitive Economy Program. This five-year program will encourage startup businesses and small and medium-sized enterprises, increase domestic market competition, and support the competitiveness of Ukrainian firms in international markets. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.
Chemonics is specifically recruiting for the following staff to join our Kyiv-based team:
Administrative Assistant. This position will provide administrative support in office daily activities to ensure efficient operations. The administrative assistant should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Prior experience in administrative or human resource positions.
- Demonstrated ability to treat information with discretion and show sensitivity and tact in communications.
- Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to summarize and condense information.
- Strong administrative skills, word-processing abilities, and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to multitask and prioritize as part of a fast-moving team.
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity.
- Proficiency in English and Ukrainian required.
Grants Specialist. This position will be responsible for administration of grants and subcontracts, including solicitation, monitoring, and recordkeeping. The grants specialist should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, administration, or related field.
- Experience in grants administration and procurement/subcontracts.
- Familiarity with USAID regulations regarding grants and procurement rules and regulations.
- Experience in and/or good understanding of procurement procedures of international organizations, including negotiating budgets, reviewing reports, monitoring performance, and recordkeeping.
- Experience building grantee capacity through trainings and financial oversight.
- Experience working with non-governmental organizations and government ministries with activities related to grants development and implementation preferred.
- Working proficiency in basic office computer applications, including MS Word and Excel.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines and work in fast-paced environments.
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity.
- Proficiency in English and Ukrainian required.
Procurement Specialist. This position will issue solicitations, collect quotations, and execute procurements of goods and services to support technical activities and operational/administrative tasks. The procurement specialist should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, administration, or related field.
- Prior procurement experience, including solicitation and collecting quotations.
- Familiarity with USAID procurement regulations preferred.
- Working proficiency in basic office computer applications, including MS Word and Excel.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines and work in fast-paced environments.
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity.
- Proficiency in English and Ukrainian required.
Grants Accountant. This position will be responsible for accounting and administrative support related to grants and subcontracts. The grants accountant should have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
- Prior experience in administration, accounting, or grants management.
- Experience in project administration tasks, including filing and budgeting.
- Proven experience demonstrating attention to detail.
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity.
- Proficiency in English and Ukrainian required.
