The International HIV/AIDS Alliance in Ukraine (Alliance Ukraine) is an international charity established and registered in Ukraine in order to support community action on HIV/AIDS. The Alliance Ukraine is the biggest non-governmental organization working in the field of HIV/AIDS in Ukraine and one of the largest in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. It was founded in 2002 and currently its team exceeds 100 professionals. Alliance Ukraine implements national-scale programs supported by the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria and multiple local and international donors.
Project: Monitoring and Evaluation-related Technical assistance and Improved Data Application in HIV Project (METIDA).
Position Type: full-time, 1 year fixed-term agreement, with the possibility of extension
Job Purpose: The Senior Project Manager (PM) takes overall responsibility for the project’s administration function including line management of technical staff. To support the project development, as well as participate in routine tasks for project implementation and support at field level where it is related to program development and technical support. To provide oversight of the sub-grant and contracts and ensure that funds passed to sub-grantees are adequately accounted for.
Core Requirements:
- At least 5 years senior-level experience designing and managing Monitoring and Evaluation activities in Ukraine;
- At least Masters’ degree in Public Health, medicine, sociology, economic or related field;
- Extensive proven knowledge in program management;
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with senior-level colleagues, particularly interacting productively, proactively, and comfortably with government agencies, NGOs, private sector groups, USAID, cooperating agencies, and donor organizations;
- Familiarity and understanding of USAID policies and procedures, or those of other donors, community based projects, or corporate social responsibility projects;
- Demonstrated strategic agility, diplomacy, conflict management, team building, and negotiation skills;
- Comfort with managing multiple assignments in a dynamic;
- Solid relationship-building skills: ability to interface with external constituents;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in Ukrainian, Russian and English;
- High level of computer literacy;
- Able to travel up to 20% of the working time.
