Position Purpose

Pact is recruiting a Project Manager for anticipated FCDO-funded 10-month project Women Leading Response and Recovery in Ukraine. The goal of the project is to strengthen and empower Ukrainian WROs to lead coordinated, gender-sensitive, needs-based and responsive relief and recovery assistance to women, girls and vulnerable groups affected by the war.

 Key Responsibilities

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall technical and managerial leadership of the project, ensuring an integrated vision among different components and actors, and a focus on achieving the results defined in the agreement. This individual will be the key liaison with the national and sub-national women’s rights organizations, and all other counterparts and implementing organizations involved with gender equality programs in Ukraine. This individual will be expected to identify issues and risks related to project implementation in a timely manner, and suggest appropriate program adjustments. This individual will be expected to offer solutions to problems that arise in this complex development environment.

 Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall technical direction of the project and management of project activities, providing leadership to the project team to ensuring high quality programming to achieve project results
• Coordination and communicating with the donor
• Strategic and operational planning and reporting including development of reports to the donor
• Effective coordination and engagement with all Project stakeholders;
• Ensuring high quality standards of technical assistance and support to Project stakeholders;
• Managing Project communications with key stakeholders, and the general public
• Other tasks as required to achieve the Project Results.

Basic Requirements

• Advanced degree in a discipline related to social services, human rights or international development
• At least 5 years of project management experience
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders
• Fluency in English (verbal and written)

Preferred qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in a similar position; experience working with international technical assistance programs
• Strong time management and organization skills, flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work collaboratively on a wide range of issues
• Ability to diplomatically and patiently forge consensus between diverse stakeholders on grant-making issues
• Self-motivated and committed to Pact’s mission and values
• Ukrainian nationals only
