Job Title: Learning and Language Coordinator

Expected Start Date of Assignment: September 2021

End Date of Assignment: 30.04.2023
Working time: Estimated 4-5 days per week.
Salary: 60-90 €/day, depending on the expertise of the candidate. The expert is expected to cover any necessary tax, pension and insurance costs.
Location: Ukraine, remote work. Ability to travel in Ukraine.
 
Omnia Education Partnerships Ltd (OEP) is working for the Finnish National Agency for Education (EDUFI) for the program EU4Skills: Better Skills for Modern Ukraine project co-financed by the European Union and its Member States. The EU4Skills project supports the reform of vocational education and training in Ukraine. OEP contributes to the following three result areas of the project: curriculum development, teacher training and school manager training.

Our team is now looking for a proactive Learning and Language Coordinator. Your role is to be a coordinator of training activities, delivered primarily online to Ukrainian teachers and managers of vocational education. You will also coordinate translation and interpretation needed in the learning activities and project management, and act as translator and interpreter yourself. You will be in frequent contact with the training   translation and interpretation providers, Finnish trainers and Ukrainian authorities.

Your responsibilities include:

• Organizing webinars, seminars, workshops, and meetings. During 2021 events are held online, but onsite events are planned for 2022.
• Coordinate the translations and interpretations needed in the trainings and project management.
• Acting as a translator and interpreter for small or urgent needs.
• Updating virtual learning platforms, communicating to the participants.
• Drafting documents and written communication materials for the project in Ukrainian and English.
• Making travel arrangements for project experts.
• Assisting in correspondence and stakeholder communication.

Your qualification, competence and experience should include:

• University degree in relevant field
• Native Ukrainian and fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience
• Experience of translation and interpretation
• Competence to organize ones work independently, to toggle between several tasks, meet deadlines and communicating effectively with team members
• Excellent skills with digital tools are required (MS Office tools, Online conference tools (e.g. Zoom), Google Classroom).

 We also appreciate:

• Understanding or experience on VET sector, training provision, working with EU4Skills or other EU funded programs, and working with MoES.
• Other relevant experience e.g. (international) project work, online learning management, event organization, and general assistant duties

Learning and Language Coordinator is contracted by the OEP Ltd. Successful applicant will be an independent consultant and undertake full responsibility for the payment of all taxes and obligations deriving from the legislation in force, including for those related to medical and social insurance (FOP). The salary will be paid and the working contract will be signed according to the OEP Contract.   the work is remote work. However, since the project will work in 7 focus regions: Zaprizhzhya, Vinnytsya, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Poltava, Rivne, and in Chernivtsi oblast, the job might also require some domestic travelling.
