Counter-Trafficking (CT) Project Assistant – Асистент проекту

Under the overall guidance of the Chief of Mission and direct supervision of the Senior CT Programme Officer the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Senior Livelihood Specialist in the implementation of project components.

Core Functions / Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with the project implementation and provide support to all project activities, including administrative, logistical and procurement support.
  2. Organize procurement processes in response to the project needs in full compliance with the IOM Procurement SOPs.
  3. Draft contracts in line with IOM requirements and procedures.
  4. Assist in the organization of meetings, trainings, roundtables and other project-related events as well as prepare post-event reports.
  5. Provide logistical support to the project particularly related to duty travel, expert visits and other similar activities. 
  6. Assist in communicating with project stakeholders such as governmental agencies, national and international organizations and experts in the field related to Project goals and objectives.
  7. Assist indrafting official and unofficial correspondence related to the project in Ukrainian and English (Russian if necessary).
  8. Contribute to the preparation of the project progress reports. Draft internal and external reports on implemented activities as requested.
  9. Assist with in-house informal translation and interpretation when requested.
  1. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education

  • High school degree or equivalent with four years of professional work experience preferably in policy and legislation development, government liaison and human rights.

OR

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited academic institution (preferably in in Social Sciences, International Development, Business Administration or other relevant field) with two years of professional work experience.

Experience

  • Familiarity with the UN system would be an advantage
  • Good writing and reporting skills
  • Advanced PC knowledge
  • Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Good knowledge and understanding of issues related to migrants and diaspora

Languages

Fluency in English, Ukrainian and Russian is required.

A prerequisite for taking up the position is legal residency in the country of the duty station and work permit, as applicable.
