NRC is looking for Lawyer in our office in Stanytsa Luhanska.
The role of ICLA technical officer is to deliver high quality information, counselling and legal assistance services within delegated thematic and geographical portfolio.
Job description:
- Ensure compliance with NRC policies, guidelines, standards and donor requirements
- Ensure compliance with ICLA strategy, tools, handbooks, guidelines and standards
- ICLA specific technical responsibility for the implementation, quality control, monitoring, project documentation and tracking of financial expenditures for technical activities of ICLA projects
- Provide specific technical support and capacity building towards project staff
- Provide specific technical analysis and feedback to NRC representatives in coordination forums
- Assess, promote and document ideas for technical improvement and further program development options
- Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need, and explore and asses new and better ways to assist
- Contribute to specific protection risks and needs analyses
- Contribute to designing of protection response to identified risks and needs
- Facilitate counselling from the office(s) and during mobile visits
- Support and mobilise beneficiaries for enabling them to address their legal issues independently
- Provide follow up and direct legal assistance on the issues which cannot be addressed by beneficiaries independently
- Identify, analyse and document violations of the rights, propose and advocate remedies
- Organize, facilitate and/or participate in events, meetings, trainings etc. according to the requests of ICLA PM/ICLA Coordinator
- Contribute to the monitoring and profiling exercises organized and/or participated by NRC
- Cooperate with relevant NRC core competences and support units to develop integrated response to the beneficiaries’ needs
- Draft and compile case studies, legal articles, analytical and advocacy documents, Facebook posts
- Compile narrative and statistical reports in the respective formats
- Ensure proper filing of documents
- Perform any other tasks as requested by ICLA Coordinator/PM.
- Facilitate provision of basic information about the rights and entitlements of beneficiaries.
Qualifications:
- Experience from working on the similar positions in a humanitarian/recovery context
- Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
- Good knowledge of English, both written and verbal would be an asset
- Fluency in the Ukrainian and Russian languages
- Good knowledge of English is an advantage
- High education with background in law or similar
- Experience of working as a lawyer in civil and administrative law
- Experience of working in the field with displaced and/or vulnerable groups and communities
- Knowledge of the software programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Good knowledge of the context in Ukraine.

Contract period: till the end of the year with the possibility of extension
Salary/benefits: According to NRC country policy, medical insurance, training opportunities, 7,5 h. working day
