Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Ukraine is seeking qualified professional for the Cluster “Sustainable Economic Development” in its office in Kyiv to fill the position of the:
IT Specialist Digitalization (full-time, Kyiv)
(internal SAP code: Information Technology Specialist)
The Sustainable Economic Development (SED) Cluster of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH comprises various projects implemented on behalf of the German government supporting Ukraine to develop a resilient and competitive economic sector.
Partners of the projects are Ukrainian ministries on the national level, administrations on regional level, stakeholders on the municipal level, and private sector companies. There are 8 bilateral, regional and global projects in the cluster portfolio. The position supports all projects within the cluster portfolio.
Area of responsibilities:
- First level contact point of the cluster staff for questions about MS Office 365, company specific integrated digital applications (IDA), digitalisation, hard- and software.
- Creating surveys with MS Forms and Askallo digital application (www.askallo.de).
- Technical updates of cluster IDA pages and management of IDA rights in the cluster.
- Providing technical support to cluster staff by dealing with questions and problems relating to IT, databases and IT management.
- Consulting on using GIZ IT services and software.
- Managing and maintaining IT office equipment and inventory; IT assets inventory and tracking.
- Maintaining and assisting in setting up videoconferencing and telephone systems, printers, Internet Services, etc.
- Assisting in IT related procurement.
- Supporting program budget planning, finance management of Cluster projects, preparation of audits by applying appropriate IT tools i.e. Excel programming.
- Supporting implementation and presentation of digital cluster wide solutions for the new GIZ’ enterprise resource system SAP S/4HANA, taking over the system role of a Data Manager on behalf of the cluster in this system.
- Ensuring smooth communication and cooperation with finance and procurement specialists in the Cluster, technical staff of the projects and GIZ Ukraine Country Office.
- Performs other duties and tasks at the request of management.
Requirements:
- University degree in business informatics, information technology or similar area.
- At least 3 years professional experience in a comparable position is desirable.
- Outstanding working knowledge of ITC technologies.
- Excellent working knowledge computer applications, particularly EXCEL, WORD, Outlook, MS SharePoint, MS TEAMS and related Apps as MS Lists and other MS Office applications.
- Experience in PowerBI is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of AI tools and their (potential) use in the day-to-day operations of larger organisations with strict data protection policies is considered a strong asset.
- Strong organization and self-organization skills; attention to details.
- Ability to work under pressure, reliability and flexibility.
- Fluent written and oral knowledge of English and Ukrainian, knowledge of German would be an advantage.
- Experienced to work in an international team; working experience with EU funded projects would be an asset.
- Customer and service-oriented attitude; excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to upskill as required by the tasks to be performed.

Employment conditions
Full-time position with 40-hour working week. The place of assignment is Kyiv. The contract duration is till July 2026 with the option of prolongation
