Danish Refugee Council (DRC) is an international non-governmental organization, which promotes and supports durable solutions to the problems faced by refugees and internally displaced people all over the world.
DRC Ukraine is looking for experienced Non-Food Items (NFI) Assistant for office based in Chernihiv.
Overall purpose of the role
- Provides administrative or technical support within sector area.
- Assist the sector officer in ensuring quality of the planning, implementation and follow up of sector activities.
- Support distribution activities.
Sector responsibilities: NFI items distribution, NFI cash grants, hygiene items distribution, facilitation and trainings on use and distribution management, facilitation and funding of risk reduction initiatives.
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
Administrative and technical support
- Carry out basic tasks within NFI area
- Ensure all necessary NFI data and documentation are collected and provided timely
- Carry out administrative tasks
- Follow given work plans and guidelines
Programming & Operations
- Support efficient and effective programme implementation
- Participate in preparing monthly/quarterly/annual highlights/reports
Coordination and representation
- Collaborate with relevant internal and external technical experts on NFI relevant issues
- Represent DRC at meetings and other relevant technical coordination meetings
- Ensure integration with other DRC sectors
Logistics/Finance
- Support coordination with logistics
Required experience and competencies:
- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience
- Commitment to learning and implementing organizational policies and procedures
- Good skill in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Advanced English proficiency desirable
- Fluency in local language
- Field experience

Required education
Diploma or relevant university degree (e.g. supply chain, political science, international development, economics, engineering) or equivalent professional qualification
We offer
Contract length: 6 months renewable depending on performance and funding.
Level: I – Non-Manager
Start date: ASP
