Fondation Hirondelle is a Swiss non-profit organization working to ensure that people facing crises have access to reliable, local, independent information. It has been supporting local media and journalists in fragile contexts for over 30 years (since 1995).
To support its activities in Ukraine, Fondation Hirondelle is seeking a Coordinator of Support Services – Kyiv, Ukraine
Mission:
Under the supervision of the Country Representative, the Coordinator of Support Services is responsible for the financial, administrative, and logistical management of Fondation Hirondelle’s activities in Ukraine. He/she ensures sound financial oversight, compliance with internal procedures and donor requirements, and supervises the local support team.
Main responsibilities:
- Budget tracking: in charge of all aspects of the budget locally (tracking expenses, analysis of the budget, costing of activities, creation of new donor budget and/or Fondation Hirondelle annual budgets) Accounting: accounting entries and support documents are scanned in the Business Central ERP system
- Payments: ensures all payments are processed and made on time, and that all necessary deductions and taxes are paid
- Administration & HR: responsible to ensure Fondation Hirondelle is abiding by all rules, laws and provisions applicable in Ukraine
Required qualifications and competencies:
- A degree in Business Administration, Finance, Logistics, or a related
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within an international organization or
- Expertisein financial and administrative management systems and
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing
- Proficiency in English and Ukrainian; knowledge of French is an
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of cultural
