The Swiss-Ukrainian project “Reducing Risk Factors for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) in Ukraine”, supported by Switzerland through the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), aims to reduce the burden of NCDs and prevent premature mortality by strengthening Ukraine’s capacity to promote healthy lifestyles, improve nutrition, and enhance access to quality health and social services.
A key component of the Project is capacity building of national and local stakeholders, including representatives of local communities, healthcare and social service providers, and project partners. This includes the organization and facilitation of forums, trainings, workshops, peer learning events, and strategic discussions that support behavioral change, intersectoral cooperation, and sustainable implementation of Project interventions.
In this context, the Project also responds to the growing need to develop and promote diverse forms of continuous professional development (CPD) in the field of public health, including interactive, practice-oriented, and peer-based learning formats. Strengthening facilitation-based learning approaches is essential to ensure meaningful knowledge transfer, skills development, and long-term application of evidence-based public health practices at national and local levels.
To support these activities, the Project plans to engage a Short-Term Expert (STE) on Facilitation to provide flexible, high-quality facilitation and training support across various Project events.
