Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Canadian Project Director, the Evaluator will be responsible for assisting the team with strong methodological competencies in designing feasible data capture and analysis, synthesis and reporting skills.
Academic Qualifications and Experience:
Mandatory:
• Post secondary degree in evaluation, political science, public policy, sociology, statistics, demographics or a related field.
• Knowledge and practical experience in research, evaluation or monitoring, and evaluation methodologies (e.g., qualitative, quantitative, mixed method, and impact identification).
• 3-5 years of experience in program or project evaluation working in the context of international development or humanitarian aid, for an international funder or NGO
• Humanitarian interventions experience, preferably in conflict and peri-urban settings, humanitarian protection and accountability to affected populations.
Desirable:
• Project experience in gender and protection
• Knowledge of the WFP food and technical assistance modalities.
• Experience dealing with sensitive issues, such as gender, protection and diversity.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently.
• High level of attention to detail
