IREX in Ukraine seeks a qualified Graphic Designer for the USIAD Ukraine National Identity Through Youth (UNITY) program. This five-year activity is designed to foster vested ownership among Ukrainian youth in their country’s democratic, European future by further mobilizing youth leadership around a values-based conception of Ukrainian identity grounded in innovation, engagement, and pluralism.
The Graphic Designer will closely work with Communications and program teams, as well as partners to coordinate information collection necessary for creating communication materials. Together with the program communications team will work on marketing strategies including social media strategies and digital plan.
Day-to-day activities will include assistance with the implementation of the program’s branding and style guide, design print and digital visual materials, in cooperation with SMM coordinator produce visual content for program’s digital platforms and communication activities. The Graphic Designer will support UNITY leadership in creating content and presentations for public and internal presentations.
They will contribute to developing communication campaigns. The duties will also include coordination of work with services providers.

Your Background & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or professional course completed in design or visual communications and/or another relevant field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in graphic design and/or multimedia design.
- Proficiency working with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other related graphic media applications.
- High proficiency in visual layout and design.
- Creative approach to presentation design.
- Strong, conceptual thinking skills.
- Excellent sensibility for design and typography as well a knowledge of print processes and production standards.
- Experience in graphic content design and creation.
- Knowledge of social media trends, styles, and expressions
- Strong command of spoken and written Ukrainian.
- Working level of English is preferred, strong command of English would be an advantage.
- Excellent communications skills, including ability to do public presentations.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and complete tasks in accordance with stated deadlines.
- Able to work independently and as a team member with the ability to take initiative, meet deadlines, and be flexible.
- You must have unrestricted authorization to work in Ukraine.
Your Daily Tasks
- Maintain and review program’s Branding and Marking Guidelines in tight cooperation with program’s Communications team.
- Assist and advise staff and partners on implementation of the program’s branding and style guide.
- Work with the Research and Learning unit to translate data and results of the program into visually appealing and user-friendly format.
- Responsible for designing draft power points for UNITY program outreach for the UNITY senior management.
- Collaborate with Communications team to understand project objectives and deliverables.
- Create visually appealing and effective graphic assets to reach programing and communication goals.
- Produce work that is innovative, imaginative, original, and creative in character for multiple audiences and marketing campaigns.
- Design print and digital both promotional and educational materials, such as brochures, banners, posters, manuals, toolkits, merchandise etc.
- Develop/create stylized and informative reports, infographics, data visualization and presentations in tight collaboration with program teams.
- Analyze and review visual materials performance data.
- Create PowerPoint presentations and templates.
- Oversee digital and print projects from conception to delivery upon request.
- Maintain program’s photo and video archives.
- Facilitate video, audio, and visual content creation and oversee contractors tasked with digital content creation upon request.
- Keep up to date with copyright and permission restrictions on photo usage.
- Keep up to date on graphic design software tools and techniques.
- Other support duties as needed.

This position is eligible for Telework. The eligible employee is a regular, full-time Ukraine-based staff who works from a worksite outside the Ukraine office for one or more days a week.
This position is not eligible for Immigration Sponsorship.
