Swiss TPH шукає Specialist in data management in epidemiology

Swiss TPH is co-implementing a USAID-funded project Public Health System Recovery and Resilience Activity. The primary goal of PHS R&R is to strengthen the Government of Ukraine (GoU)’s capacity to prevent, detect and respond to public health threats, sustain critical public health services during a crisis, and protect the health of all Ukrainians including vulnerable and marginalized groups.

Swiss TPH seeks a specialist in data management in epidemiology for the project «Public Health System Recovery and Resilience Activity».

Main purpose of consultancy/technical support

• Provide technical assistance in the development, implementation and delivery of the training course on data management in epidemiology;
• Analyze feedback of the participants of the training delivered in March 2024 to better tailor the next sessions and modules to the needs of RCDCPs;
• Ensure that the content of the course is suitable for the needs and the existing level of expertise of RCDCPs’ staff;
• Hold consultations with RCDCP’s regional experts to collect their needs in data-driven decision-making and reflect the feedback in the training content;
• In collaboration with the project team, review and adjust as needed training materials developed by a course provider;
• Develop practical exercises for the training course on data management in epidemiology;
• Take part in the training delivery as a trainer and / or facilitator together with the project team and other engaged trainers;
• Ensure proper reporting on the training delivery in accordance with the project requirements.

Period of performance: April 2024- September 2024

Requirements:

• Master’s degree or higher from an accredited university in medicine (epidemiology), public health, social work, public policy, health and human services, or a related field is required
• At least five years of experience in capacity building (preferably, in data management in the field of public health)
• Broad understanding of capacity building needs in the area of data management within the field of public health and health systems
• Ability to collaborate well with multiple stakeholders
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to work in complex environments and work with and between different stakeholders
• Demonstrated skills in problem-solving and consensus building
• Fluency in Ukrainian (literate oral and written communications) and ability to understand written materials in English
• Focus on results, strong teamwork and communication skills, and interest in continuous professional development.

Ability to travel to the respective regions as required (with safety considerations duly handled by the project)
