Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is looking for the Finance Unit of Energy and Climate Cluster in Kyiv:
NATIONAL INTERN
The Energy and Climate Cluster is focusing on the energy, environment and climate action sectors in Ukraine. Main target groups are households or public institutions engaging in energy efficiency measures such as thermal-energetic renovations or refurbishment of private housing or public buildings such as schools or kindergartens with the aim to modernize under latest EU building, construction and energy saving standards. In addition, the Cluster interacts with energy market actors, such as energy supply firms, distribution and transmission operators, or private companies providing energy efficiency services (creation of a market for energy services). Industry sectors in general are mainly: Power industry, high carbon-based industrial plants (steel, metal, metallurgy), extractive coal industries, renewables sector (including hydrogen fuels market as future technology).
Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the overall guidance of the finance team, tasks may include:
- Archiving of bookkeeping documentations (maintaining of archive fin. documents, contracts).
- Support in compiling, editing, and processing of financial/accounting
- Copying and scanning of documentation.
- Translation of financial and supportive d
- Preparing of calculation details to vouchers in Excel.
- Support the inventory process with the Project’s authorized employee within
- Sending/delivery documents to suppliers, partners and Country Office.
- Other tasks upon requests.
Requirements:
- Enrolled student (at least student of 3rd year) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Complete fluency in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Outlook etc.) is required.
Language Requirements:
- Good level in written and spoken English, fluent
- German language skills are an asset.
Duration of Contract
3 months (June – September 2025). The internship is paid. Typical workload for internship is 20 hours, but it might be increased/decreased with the respective recalculation of remuneration amount.
