Senior Business Development Mаnager

CRDF Global is an independent nonprofit organization that promotes safety, security, and sustainability through international development and foreign assistance missions in over 120 countries is looking for Senior Business Development Manager.

Major Responsibilities

Market and Client Development:

  • Continuously scans market and competitor trends, inform and develop effective, innovative go-to-market strategies, and competitive client offerings to build company market position and pipeline with a diversified client base.
  • Develops develop and drive through agreed market and client segment plans innovative segment outreach campaigns, ensuring consistent brand messaging and compliance with corporate and client policy guidelines.
  • Build and leverage productive client relationships, including through ongoing delivery work, to build our market position and pipeline.
  • Develop or support development of customer account plans accounting for customer preferences, competitive analysis and incumbent strengths and weaknesses.

Capture and Proposals:

  • Lead capture and proposal efforts to secure new or support re-compete business opportunities as assigned.
  • Lead and integrate cross-functional pursuit teams.
  • Develop and manage capture budget.
  • Develop capture strategy, competitive assessments and competitor analysis, capture plan, teaming, and price-to-win.
  • Coordinate timely production and submission of proposals, concept papers, and related correspondence to funder to include project management plans, basis of effort development, technical volumes, past performance and staffing plans, required forms, etc.
  • Develop proposal timelines, templates, and teams that deliver high-quality proposals on time and efficiently.
  • Conduct after action reviews for business opportunity capture participants to document lessons learned and identify necessary adjustments to capture technique, strategy, and actions.

Global Growth Team

  • Participate in business development and capture planning activities.
  • Meet regularly and collaborate with Growth department colleagues and other non-Growth staff in planning sessions to achieve Growth objectives, to ensure adherence to the capture process, and to represent Growth as appropriate at internal meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced business degree – Masters’ level and relevant professional training (preferred).
  • 7+ years client facing marketing experience, including at management level, gained in a professional service environment, for example, in an international consulting or development organization.
  • Influential stakeholder network – funding agencies, government, partners, competitors.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn CRDF’s CRM systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship building negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent and effective written and oral communications skills and the ability to interact with a wide range of individuals from varied backgrounds at all levels within their organizations.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Strong strategic, innovation, analytical, planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, including under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt quickly to new challenges, ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Acts with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
