CRDF Glоbal (Representative office in Ukraine) is seeking Legal Expert

For an upcoming engagement, CRDF Global is seeking the subject matter expert, who would be expected to provide contracted services such as, but not limited to: 

• Provide legal support to the representatives of CRDF Global, relevant organization beneficiaries and their recipients in different fields of law for projects implementation;
• Provide analytical support to the meetings, working on legal issues by preparing relevant legal briefs;
• Participate and contribute to professional events involving CRDF Global representatives, Government representatives, think-tanks, private sector representatives (discussions, roundtables, meetings, public hearings);
• Overseeing client and vendor contracts;
• Drafting legal documents;
• Work with legal permits and technical assistance projects registration activities
• Provide inputs to monthly reports on the work and deliverables
• Development and analysis of contracts and other legal documents
• Legal support of procurement and grant awards process
• Other tasks as asigned

Regarding the provision of consulting services in the framework of International Technical Assistance (ITA) projects:

• Organization of interaction with the Cabinet of Ministers, beneficiaries and recipients on issues of registration, re-registration, monitoring and reporting of international technical assistance projects.
• Work with recipients and beneficiaries on taxation of international technical assistance.
• Consultations on the application of VAT benefits and customs excises during the implementation of ITA projects. Proper registration of the procedure for applying benefits.
• The issue of including CRDF in the list of donors that can provide budget grants (grants that are exempt from personal income tax and military duty)
• Support of procedures for transfer of international technical assistance to recipients.
• Carrying out explanations and consultations on the peculiarities of the implementation of international technical assistance projects, their interaction with government agencies.
• Sessions/Office hours for OpSupport team on issues related to ITA projects.
