Position Title: Data Analyst Consultant
Organizational Unit: Emergency and Stabilization Unit
Classification: Consultant
Type of Appointment: 6 months, part time (with possibility of extension)
Closing Date: December 14, 2017
Nature of Consultancy: Under the overall supervision of the Emergency and Stabilization Programme Coordinator, and the direct supervision of the National Emergency and Stabilization Programme Officer, the successful candidate will assist in the implementation of IOM Ukraine’s Displacement Tracking and Monitoring efforts, in particular for internally displaced people (IDPs), in Ukraine.
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
- Assist in the overall implementation of IOM Ukraine’s Displacement Tracking and Monitoring efforts, in particular for IDPs.
- Assist in the overall planning, implementation and monitoring of Displacement Tracking and Monitoring efforts.
- Conduct logical and technical control of the survey database.
- Conduct data processing, code open-ended questions.
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data.
- Produce different types of statistical reports – tables, diagrams etc.
- Draft official and unofficial correspondence in English and Ukrainian (Russian if necessary).
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
Expected Deliverables:
- Regular analytical reports have to be produced in March, June, September and December 2017.

Education
- Completed advanced university degree in Sociology, Statistics or a related field from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience;
- High level of computer literacy, good knowledge of MS Office.
Experience
- Experience in data processing and statistical reports writing;
- Practical experience in analytical work;
- Experience in data visualization;
- Knowledge of migration issues is an advantage.
Skills
- Proficiency in statistical software;
- Strong understanding of descriptive and inferential statistics.
Languages
- Fluency in English, Ukrainian and Russian is required.
