ENGin шукає Director of Programs

ENGin, a rapidly growing nonprofit that provides free, high-quality speaking practice for English learners in Ukraine, is looking for an experienced Director of Programs (5-15 years relevant work experience) to join our leadership team.

ENGin was founded in March 2020; since then, over 5,200 students and 4,500 volunteers have participated in our online program. We are continuing to grow rapidly, with a goal of reaching 100,000 students. With a unique peer-to-peer learning approach and unprecedented scale, we’re creating an innovative model for transforming an entire country using the power of one-to-one connections.

This role is a rare opportunity to help grow and lead a dynamic, innovative organization while positively impacting the lives of thousands of students. All work is done virtually; full-time (40 hours/week). Competitive salary.

The Director of Programs will be responsible for the overall management of the ENGin program in Ukraine, which includes four main areas:

  • Attract participants
  • Onboard participants
  • Ensure participant success
  • Raise funds to run program

Oversee media relations and social media strategies, including collaborations with other organizations for mutual promotion. Oversee the development of student recruitment partnerships in Ukraine and volunteer recruitment partnerships worldwide. Manage the creation of marketing materials for different audiences. Represent the program for a variety of audiences.

(2) Onboard participants:

Oversee the development, operation, and continuous improvement of a cutting-edge online platform to onboard students and volunteers and manage all active participants. Manage online student and volunteer trainings for new participants.

(3) Ensure Participant Success

Ensure a high-quality program experience for both students and volunteers, including curriculum, community, and customer service. Implement an impact measurement / evaluation system. Help lead two new initiatives: Partnerships with corporations to connect students to professional opportunities and ENGin for Educators, a spin-off program for English teachers at our students’ schools.

(4) Raise funds

Collaborate with ENGin CEO to develop and implement a funding strategy, with a primary focus on corporate sponsorships and program revenue and a secondary focus on grants from large international donors.

Note: ENGin currently has a team of 20 mostly part-time staff. Responsibilities include determining the optimal team structure and hiring new employees as needed to achieve the above goals.
