The Deputy Center Manager, under the supervision of the Center Manager, will be hired full-time to ensure high-quality delivery of SAFE project objectives, particularly focusing on activities in Eastern European countries.

Your Background & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 7+ years of progressive job experience in program coordination, project management, or organizational development; or a Master’s degree and 6 years of experience.
- Experience in organizing and implementing trainings, workshops, and/or capacity building programs, preferably in risk management and digital security.
- Experience working in high-risk environments or emergency situations is an asset.
- Proven ability to coordinate program activities and staff in a complex environment.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including media professionals, civil society, and international partners.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of the media environment in Eastern European countries is an asset.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Ukrainian required.
- Strong teamwork, mentoring, and leadership potential.
- Proficient in Microsoft office products, including Excel;
- Speaking, reading, and writing proficiency in English and Ukrainian required. Excellent written and spoken English.
- Must demonstrate valid proof of unrestricted authorization to work in Ukraine.
Your Daily Tasks:
- Support the Center Manager in the day-to-day implementation of project activities specifically in Eastern European countries.
- Contribute to the drafting of work plans, reports, training curricula, and other project documentation.
- Support the integration of safety frameworks into trainings and program activities, including risk mitigation and standard operating procedures.
- Deliver or co-facilitate trainings and other educational events in areas such as digital safety and risk management.
- Provide support in risk assessment and mitigation planning for at-risk media and social communicators organizations and individuals.
- Participate in developing and updating training materials, handouts, and knowledge products.
- Assist in monitoring and evaluation efforts, including data collection, reporting, and feedback analysis.
- Represent the Center in external meetings, conferences, or workshops when delegated.
- In absence of center manager, keep communication with partner organizations and external representatives.
- Stay updated regarding center activities, workplan progress, budget, spending, and day by day developments at the center and being able to update SAFE management team, IREX HQ about the current situation at the center.
- Step in to perform the duties of the Center Manager when required.
- Other programmatic and administrative duties as assigned.
- Performs additional duties and tasks to meet the needs of the organization, team, or as assigned by manager.
