Виконавчий партнер Агентства ООН у справах біженців, БФ «РОКАДА», шукає соціального працівника, який працюватиме з біженцями та шукачами притулку у Києві. Дедлайн – 28 січня 2022 року (далі – англ.).

Background

The charitable organization “Charity Foundation” Rokada “, founded in 2003, is implementing partner of the UN Refugee Agency and carrying out social assistance projects for refugees and asylum seekers in Ukraine.

Responsibilities:

Case management: consultations of refugees on social rights; social assistance, an inspection of living conditions on individual bases, advice on housing, assistance in integration into Ukrainian society, accompaniment to different institutions, and communication with the different institutions in the best interests of clients;
Identification and advising the unaccompanied minors;
Assessment of the best interests of unaccompanied minors;
Filling in the form of assessment of the best interests of the child;
Preparation of lists of refugees with special needs in order to provide them with basic necessities;
Preparation of individual plans for overcoming difficult life circumstances for refugees, identification of specialists who should help to improve the social situation of the client;
Cooperation \ coordination with partner organizations;
Cooperation \ coordination with Migration Service and Child Service;
Systematic maintenance of an electronic database of clients and services rendered;
Submission of monthly and quarterly written reports.
Assistance in preparing different events for the refugee’s communities (education training, group counseling, etc.)

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education

Higher education in the field of social work (Bachelor/Master);
· Awareness of the basics of psychology;

Experience

- Minimum 2 years of working experience in implementing social programs;
- The skills and expertise which are necessary for working with socially vulnerable groups of the population, including psychosocial rehabilitation skills are required
- Is welcomed experience in volunteer activities in the social sphere (with children, with people who are in difficult life circumstances);
– Experience in writing business texts in English;
– Good knowledge of social policy;
- Fluent in Windows, Internet, MS Office

Languages

Excellent English, Ukrainian, and Russian (verbal and written);

Personal qualities:

Stress resistance;
Tolerance to people of different nationalities and different religious views;
High level of responsibility;
To be ready for irregular working days;
Ability to react quickly in stressful situations
Steady observance of the ethical rules of social work with refugees;
Ability to work with a large array of documents;
