Асистент/ка проєкту прихистків (Міжнародна організація з міграції) / Shelter Project Assistant (IOM)

The IOM Mission in Ukraine provides assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs) and conflict-affected people, fights trafficking in human beings, assists the Government in dealing with irregular migration, improving its migration management system, and creating migrant-inclusive health practices and policies. IOM supports the development of comprehensive and evidence-based migration policies and legislation in line with international norms and builds government’s capacity in harnessing the development potential of migration, among others, by creating incentives for migrants’ remittances investment and offering evidence-based policy advice to enhance labour migration management. During 24 years of presence in Ukraine, IOM has assisted over half a million migrants (Ukrainians and other nationalities), IDPs, potential migrants, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups, directly or through its project partners.

Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission and the Programme Coordinator (Shelter and Housing), and the direct supervision of the Project Officer (Shelter) and in coordination with other technical programme specialists, the successful candidate will support IOMs efforts to improve living conditions of crisis affected population across Ukraine. The successful candidate will be responsible for documenting shelter needs based on cluster and organizational standards. S/he will support the timely and orderly distribution, documentation and application of the items; provide information and support on the application of shelter repairs.

Requirements for candidates:

• 3 years of experience in shelter projects and distributions.
• Excellent knowledge of Architectural and operating adequate software such as AutoCAD, Archicad, or SketchUp.
• Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices related to the project.
• Bachelor degree or equivalent in Architecture, Engineering from an accredited academic institution.
• Ukrainian, Level: Fluent, Required
• English, Level: Fluent, Required
