EnCompass LLC invites qualified experts to submit a price offer for the provision of Graphic/ Infographic Designer services related to the USAID/Ukraine Monitoring and Learning Support (UMLS) activities. This is a five-year program assisting the USAID/Ukraine in meeting its overall monitoring, and collaborating, learning and adapting (CLA) needs.
The purpose of this request is to obtain price quotations for a wide range of high-quality and innovative project communications and marketing services.
Technical requirements
- Collaborate with project teams to design and develop graphics, visualizations, presentations, and other creative products for client projects, ensuring that information is communicated clearly, accurately, and in a visually appealing manner;
- Develop graphic designs adaptable for social media platforms use including Facebook, Instagram and Twitter;
- Develop graphic design for social media campaigns;
- Work with the project team to develop presentations, factsheets, project and marketing briefs that are creative, visually appealing;
- Plan and execute all assigned tasks within budget and established deadlines;
- Develop graphic designs and visual aids compliant with USAID Branding and Marking regulations;
- Ability to develop US Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) 508-compliant project products, is an advantage;
- Coordinate and work collaboratively with the project management team and technical specialists to plan and manage design needs;
- Other duties as assigned related to graphic design and creative communications products.
Administrative requirements
- The proposal must contain hourly rates or rates for certain types of work from the current price list;
- Proposals must include current technical qualifications, certifications and relevant experience as a graphic/infographic designer, as well as contacts of experts who can provide recommendations;
- The proposal must contain a link to a portfolio characterizing the stylistic approaches to the implementation of the requested scope of work of the applicant;
- The completed self-assessment questionnaire, is attached;
- The completed test assignment, is attached;
- Copies of registration documents (including copies of certificates of state registration of private entrepreneurship, which the applicant plans to submit for the provision of services).
Qualifications and requirements
Academic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree Required (Communications, Visual Arts, Multimedia or similar fields preferred)
General Experience and Skills
- A minimum of 3 (three) years of experience in the graphic design sphere for advertising, design, marketing. Understanding of NGO sphere is an advantage;
- Proven experience with designing graphics/infographics in Ukrainian and English for high- level, professional audiences (USAID/USG preferred);
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Ukrainian and proficiency in both languages;
- Proven ability to find creative visual solutions based on organization’s brief;
- Exceptional thoroughness, heightened attention to detail, and commitment to consistency;
- Ability to produce thorough, high-quality work with a tight timeframe;
- Understanding of compliance with Section 508 of the Americans with Disabilities Act and/or copyright law highly desirable;
- Experience working with organizations with an international focus is preferred;
- Ability to work in an appreciative, strengths-based environment;
- Ability to support Encompass LLC, UMLS project Comms team in drafting creative, appealing and easy to understand infographics;
- Demonstrated solid conceptual, visualization, and communication skills during all phases of creative development.
Technical Skills
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud programs, particularly Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop;
- Advanced skills in working with templates using Microsoft Office programs, especially Word and PowerPoint;
- Proficiency in English and Ukrainian languages;
- Proficiency with online technology and web-based tools;
- Solid understanding of content management and information technology.
Management
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks, producing quality products within tight time constraints;
- Demonstrated experience in working on multiple priorities consecutively and sequentially and meeting quality standards for accuracy, attention to detail, and timeliness;
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
Other Requirements
- Reliable, secure, high-speed internet connection. Providing services remotely via internet connection is acceptable;
- Private Entrepreneur (ФОП) registration is an advantage;
- The consultant will use their own equipment and ensure they have necessary software licenses and subscriptions to provide the required services.
Additional Note: The agreement under which this procurement is financed does not permit the financing of any taxes, VAT, tariffs, duties, or other levies imposed by any laws in effect in the Cooperating Country. No such Cooperating Country taxes, VAT, charges, tariffs, duties or levies will be paid under an order resulting from this Request for Quotations.
