Duties:
This position is located at the US Embassy in Kyiv in the Motor Pool section. An incumbent reports to the Motor Pool Supervisor for Operations. This position has a mix of responsibilities: driving, dispatcher services and clerical responsibilities. A job holder serves as a chauffeur to transport Embassy personnel, official visitors, or documents within the city. Takes necessary actions to prepare and conduct vehicle auction / sales including preparing announcements, collecting bids, etc. Collects information on fueling of GOVs through Post Fuel Master System. An employee serves as one of Post’s certified Safe Driver Instructors. Assists the Motor Pool Supervisor in running the Post safe driving program by maintaining the training records, schedules, and creates reports which are sent to SHEM on a quarterly basis. An incumbent serves as a timekeeper for the Motor pool staff.
Requirements:
Experience : Two years of administrative experience in a professional office setting, including a minimum of 3 years of accident-free driving.
Education : Completion of secondary school is required.
Language: Good working knowledge of English* (speaking/writing/reading) is required.

Good working knowledge of Ukrainian (speaking/writing/reading) is required.
Driving requirement : Should have a valid driving license (category B, C, D) to operate official Embassy vehicle**
**Should be able to pass on the road driving test.
Job Knowledge: Must have knowledge of local terrain and sources available for transportation services. Good knowledge of Kyiv and surrounding area including alternate routes. Knowledge of local and regional car companies. Must be able to maintain accurate records, create systems, knowledge of local traffic laws, and good organizational skills. Tact and ability to work closely with customers, visitors and local business and government personnel is required.
Skills And Abilities: Position requires user level computer skills in MS Office applications (Windows, MS Word and Excel), and databases as well as good arithmetic skills. Strong ability to perform multiple tasks and set priorities. Ability to prioritize and react to emergent situations.
