Вакансія: Consultant for expert support in the development of the training program “Vaccination in Pharmacies”

Swiss TPH is co-implementing a USAID-funded project Public Health System Recovery and Resilience Activity. The primary goal of PHS R&R is to strengthen the Government of Ukraine (GoU)’s capacity to prevent, detect and respond to public health threats, sustain critical public health services during a crisis, and protect the health of all Ukrainians including vulnerable and marginalized groups.
Swiss TPH seeks a consultant to prepare lecture materials and conduct training on the following topics: “Evaluation of medical documentation and determination of vaccination status” and “Vaccination safety and the management of adverse events following immunization (AEFI), including reporting adverse reactions and AEFI.” The training will consist of two presentations on AEFI. Additionally, the consultant will address the topic: “Effective communication with patients: Why do patients refuse vaccination? Building a persuasive argument.”
The training is titled “Vaccination in Pharmacies.” 03-07 February, 2025.
Main purpose of consultancy/technical support
- Provide expert support during the creation of the training program, working closely with the Swiss TPH team to ensure the content is relevant, comprehensive, and aligned with the intended learning outcomes.
- Support other experts in the creation of the training materials, offering feedback, guidance, and expertise to ensure the materials meet high standards of quality and effectively address the key topics of the training.
- Present throughout the entire training (5 days-40h), providing support during the delivery of the training sessions. This includes answering participant questions, ensuring the smooth flow of the sessions, and facilitating discussions to enhance learning and engagement.
Period of performance: January 2025 – February 2025.
Requirements for the consultant (trainer):
- Advanced degree in Public Health, Pharmacy, Medicine, Education, or a related field.
- Proven experience in developing training materials and delivering professional training sessions, preferably in the field of public health or immunization.
- Familiarity with vaccination programs and pharmacy-based health services.
- Experience working with higher education institutions or academic training programs is an asset.Master’s degree from an accredited university in medicine, public health, or healthcare;
- At least eight years of experience in the healthcare sector;
- In-depth knowledge of vaccination practices, including the role of pharmacists in expanding vaccination services.
- Expertise in developing educational curricula and materials tailored for university faculty and healthcare professionals.
- Strong understanding of adult learning methodologies and techniques for effective knowledge transfer.Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Experience working on immunization issues using evidence-based medicine and the latest recommendations from international organizations.
- Excellent teaching, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage diverse audiences and foster collaborative learning environments.
- Fluency in Ukrainian (competent oral and written communication) and ability to understand written materials in English.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and execute complex training activities within specified timelines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality materials.
Additional Requirements:
- Availability to work on-site in Kyiv during the training dates (February 3–7, 2025).
- Familiarity with USAID-funded projects and understanding of their objectives is an advantage.
