Project Officer Ukraine / Проектний Офіцер (-ка)
The Project Officer will contribute to Ukraine projects by supporting the Project Manager both substantively and administratively, closely monitoring project implementation and ensuring alignment with the strategic framework and internal procedures and policies.
The Project Officer (PO) will provide the following services:
Research and analysis
Engage in and oversee research and analysis on political, legal, social, economic and humanitarian developments related to the conflict and the peace process;
Produce reports and analytical documents.
Support the projects’ management
Coordinate individual dialogue tracks, including selection of and liaison with participants, design of strategy and work plan, technical advice on outputs and communications strategies;
Plan, coordinate and oversee activities in accordance with the applicable administrative and financial rules;
Organize field trips, conferences, expert discussions and other events;
Facilitate dialogue group meetings;
Identify and coordinate work of local external consultants, including quality control;
Liaise with international experts, arrange their visits to Ukraine or other countries;
Contribute to donor reporting.
External Engagement
Participate in meetings and events with government and other interlocutors (including providing interpretation if necessary).
Strategy and Project Development
Contribute to design and development of new project tracks;
Contribute to discussions on strategies, results and M&E.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a relevant area, such as international relations, law, history, political science or equivalent experience;
Strong research and analytical skills;
Strong writing and editing skills, in English, Ukrainian and Russian;
Knowledge of and commitment to conflict resolution, mediation processes and related humanitarian issues;
Strong nationwide networks across government & political parties, civil society, academia and international organizations;
5 years’ experience in the peace, security, diplomacy, reforms, humanitarian or related fields, with key achievements that demonstrate the candidate’s impact in these areas (successful
project implementations, research publications, cooperation with government and civil society, etc.)
Deep political, economic and cultural knowledge of Ukraine and the wider region;
Strong organizational skills;
Experience with MEL, grants management and donor reporting;
Experience & networks in social cohesion, macroeconomics/ political economy, energy, aviation, ecology, maritime & riverine transportation would be an asset;
Experience & networks in pre-frontline communities will be an asset.
