Position Title: National Information Management Project Support Officer (CCCM)
Duty Station: Kyiv

Type of Appointment: Special Short-Term, Six months with possibility of extension

Context: 

Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission and the Programme Manager (CCCM) and the direct supervision of the Information Management (IM) Officer (CCCM), the successful candidate will support Camp Coordination and Camp Management Unit in information management and GIS for the Ukraine Response program.

Core Functions / Responsibilities: 

  1. Coordinate the operational, administrative and financial aspects of data collection and information management with the National Officers and Implementing partners located in different regions, including oversight responsibility of daily implementation and monitoring of the project activities.
  2. Supervise and provide development support to the project assistants under his/her direct supervision.
  3. Identify needs and gaps for GIS/Remote Sensing within the CCCM Unit and support the IM Officer (CCCM) in reporting and data analysis
  4. Develop GIS Products/Tools such as dashboards, interactive maps, web mapping applications etc for the cross-border program, based on identified needs.
  5. Provide support and capacity building for the implementing partners in the development and improvement of data management systems and methodologies (data collection surveys, mapping, information sheets, and other data analyses and visualization).
  6. Develop data collection tools in line with IOM’s Data Protection Principles and ensure data protection provisions are included in all implementing partners agreements.
  7. Conduct regular reporting activities such as monthly beneficiary updates, quarterly progress reports, and provide additional information as and when requested.
  8. Update regularly the 5Ws of the CCCM Cluster and report regularly on assessment and monitoring data.
  9. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Sociology, Political Science, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field from an accredited academic institution with at least two years of professional experience; or
  • Master’s degree in International Relations, Sociology, Political Science, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field from an accredited academic institution.

Experience 

  • Experience in Information Management related tasks, including data collection, cleaning, and analysis, and development of Information Management Products.
  • Experience with handling confidential data and demonstrated understanding of different data collection methodologies
  • Experience in analyzing statistical information; Experience in drafting survey questionnaires and reports on social humanitarian operations;
  • Advanced use of Microsoft software such as Word, Excel (pivot tables, functions etc.), and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced experience in the use of Information Management related software such as SPSS/R, KoBo toolbox, Power BI, and GIS;
  • Experience working in Humanitarian operations, ideally in Camp Coordination and Camp Management operations.
  • Experience working with a non-governmental organization and/or international organization is an advantage.

Skills

  • Knowledge of data analysis and process.
  • Advance Computer literate – knowledge of MS office – word, excel, powerpoint, KoBo toolbox, Power BI, and GIS.

Languages

Fluency in English, Ukrainian is required.
