DAI, a global development company based in the United States, is seeking a Human Resources Assistant / Manager for its USAID Economic Resilience Activity project. The project hopes to improve the overall economic resilience of eastern Ukraine.

Roles Purpose: Human Resources (HR) Assistant / Manager will manage regular project recruitment and human resource activities.
Objectives and Duties:
- Post advertisements for project recruitment needs.
- Shortlist and screen applicants, schedule and participate in interviews, and make hiring recommendations.
- Facilitate any required candidate testing and notify applicants of the results of the selection process.
- Check professional references, verify EBDs, and prepare offers of employment and employment contracts.
- Ensure recruitment and personnel actions are compliant with DAI policies and procedures, contract requirements, and USAID regulations
- Provide applicants and new hires with information about the job, including onboarding requirements.
- Establish calendar and process for completing annual and probationary employee performance evaluations.
- Create and maintain all hard and soft copy personnel files
- Manage time sheets and leave balance tracker on a monthly basis.
- Manage termination procedures, including arranging exit interviews, and collection of all equipment and termination documents
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervises, trains, and mentors HR staff.
- Plans, assigns, and directs work; appraises performance, addresses and resolves problems
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field preferred
- 2+ years’ progressive work experience in recruitment and human resources management
- Direct and recent experience with USAID regulations and procedures highly preferred.
- Must be familiar with local labor laws
- Previous experience preparing and negotiating employee and consultant contracts.
- Ability to respond effectively to time sensitive demands & inquiries
- Proficiency using Microsoft office suite, and other relevant software
- Fluency in English is required
