Background     

The Press and Public Information Unit (PPIU) of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine require services of a professional graphic designer/illustrator to support the activities of the Unit by producing graphic materials.

Tasks and Responsibilities     

  1. Produce and update graphic materials and templates for print and distribution, including but not limited to leaflets, posters, infographics and outreach materials;
  2. Produce and update graphic materials and templates for the SMM’s page on the official web site, social media channels and online campaigns, including but not limited to slideshows, banners and infographics;
  3. Develop graphic materials and visual identity for the SMM’s public campaigns and initiatives;
  4. Provide recommendations on visualisation of the SMM’s information and content as well as diversification of the existing range of the SMM’s graphic materials;

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  1. Drafts of designs and materials are produced in a timely manner, before the deadlines decided upon by the PPIU (the first draft is ready for review no later than seven working days);
  2. Edits to designs and materials requested by PPIU are implemented in a timely manner (no later than in three working days);
  3. Designs and materials produced are consistent with the OSCE Visual Manual.

Necessary Qualifications     

  • Minimum 4 years of progressive experience and strong professional skills in graphic design, including proficiency in key software (incl. Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, and Microsoft Publisher); 
  • At least 2 years of progressive in illustration, including proficiency in key software;
  • Previous experience in producing graphic materials and illustrations for non-profit organizations, projects and/or campaigns;
  • Previous experience should be proven by provided portfolio, including examples of leaflets, infographics, banners for social media and illustrations;
  • Working knowledge of English, excellent knowledge of Ukrainian and Russian;
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to work as a member of a team, with people of different cultural and religious backgrounds, different gender, and diverse political views, while maintaining impartiality and objectivity;
  • Demonstrated gender awareness and sensitivity, as well as the ability to integrate a gender perspective into tasks and activities;
  • Cultural sensitivity and judgment.

Remuneration Package     

Suggested Fees:

  • Remuneration will be commensurate to educational background and years of relevant experience of the selected candidates, in line with the OSCE Staff Regulations and Staff Rules.

Additional expenses:

  • The travel costs (train ticket) by most economic route from Kyiv to requested destination within Ukraine and back;
  • Daily subsistence allowance (DSA) at the established monthly OSCE rate in accordance with FAI 9.
