ABA ROLI в рамках програми «Сприяння соціальній згуртованості в Україні / Пункт 7» (Promoting Social Cohesion in Ukraine / Point 7) оголошує конкурс для місцевих неурядових організацій на отримання невеликих грантів у розмірі від $15,000 до $25,000 на проєкти з підтримки соціальної згуртованості, національної єдності та ідентичності, подолання негативних стереотипів по відношенню до найбільш уразливих груп населення (етнічних та національних спільнот, ЛГБТ+ спільноти, внутрішньо-переміщених осіб тощо) в умовах російської агресії. Під соціальною згуртованістю організатори конкурсу розуміють готовність людей, які проживають на одній території, до спільних дій та співпраці заради скорочення нерівності, досягнення соціальної толерантності, подолання стереотипів та спільного реагування на виклики. Дедлайн подачі заявок – 10 листопада 2022 (далі англ.).

Description: 

The American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative (ABA ROLI) is a non-profit program, under the ABA’s Fund for Justice and Education, that implements legal reform programs in more than 50 countries around the world.  In October 2020, ABA ROLI launched the project: “Promoting Social Cohesion in Ukraine.” This 39-month project aims to bring together media, civil society, and youth actors from different geographic regions of Ukraine to work on joint projects that will increase national unity, promote civic identity, and foster informed and constructive dialogue on issues central to Ukraine’s European future. Under the current program, ABA ROLI works to unite diverse Ukrainian champions (including youth leadership) from different regions around shared challenges and common national values and enable them to jointly advocate for key political reforms. We are working towards greater tolerance of differences and inclusion of vulnerable groups such as ethnic and national minorities, IDPs, and LGBTQI.   Under this program, ABA ROLI empowers Ukrainian advocates to understand existing divisions and develop new initiatives for social cohesion; empowers journalists to confront the cross-regional stereotypes that undermine social cohesion; and

develops and advances a policy reform agenda around improved social cohesion.

With a mission of promoting justice, economic opportunity, and human dignity through the rule of law, ABA ROLI has unique needs under its Ukraine Social Cohesion program to support local organizations through subawards to promote social cohesion and national unity.  

Through this request for applications (RFA), ABA ROLI will support up to three (3) local non-governmental organizations with subawards ranging from $15,000 to $25,000 apiece. The program activities of subgrantees should lay within the overall framework of the program and shall be focused on one or more of the topics listed in section 1.4 of the RFA attachment. Total duration of the projects should run from 6 to 8 months maximum.
