 The USAID Competitive Economy Program (CEP), is seeking grant applications under the Request for Applications (RFA)-2020-012.

Issue Date: February 26, 2020

Closing Date: August 1, 2020

Applications due within specified rounds:

1^st Round: February 26, 2020 – March 31, 2020

2^nd Round: June 15, 2020 – August 1, 2020

The USAID Competitive Economy Program (CEP), implemented by Chemonics International, is seeking grant applications from Ukrainian startups (private enterprises and/or private entrepreneurs), which have positive growth dynamics (further on referred to as “traction”) and wish to expand and/or scale-up their business.

Only registered Ukrainian private enterprises and/or private entrepreneurs are eligible for award under this RFA. Please submit all questions concerning this solicitation to [email protected] include “RFA-2020-012” in the subject line of the email. CEP will assist applicants in understanding the application process via email.

The application process will consist of a single stage. Applicants shall submit an Application (Annex A) and Detailed Grant Budget (Annex B), using the templates provided. Application materials will be reviewed by a selection committee following due date for applications under this RFA.

The grants will be awarded and implemented in accordance with USAID and US Government regulations governing grants under contracts and CEP’s internal grant management policies. Project and Chemonics employees may not ask for, and applicants are prohibited from offering, any money, fee, commission, credit, gift, gratuity, thing of value, or compensation to obtain or reward improper favorable treatment regarding this solicitation. Any improper request from a project employee should be reported to the chief of party or [email protected].

• “Pitch Deck” or presentation (e.g. PowerPoint, pdf, video, etc.)
• Certificate of Registration with the Government of Ukraine, or Extract from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Private Entrepreneurs and Civic Formations
• Required Certifications:
  • Representation by Corporation Regarding A Delinquent Tax Liability or a Felony Criminal Conviction (per AAPD 14-03)
  • Prohibition on Providing Federal Assistance to Entities that Require Certain Internal Confidentiality Agreements – Representation (May 2017).
