USAID Economic Resilience Activity implemented by DAI Global LLC.  is looking for an Azov National Nature Parks Tourism Consultant to reinforce its Tourism Development component.

Role’s Purpose:

As of December 2019 the Economic Resilience Activity has begun supporting the Tourism Sector of the Sea of Azov region.  After the conflict beginning in 2014, and exacerbated by the Russian blockade of the Kerch Strait in November 2018, the region has suffered a decrease in tourist activity and a shortening of the tourism season. ERA will be supporting the sector with a broad-based, four-pronged program directed toward: 1) promoting tourism product development; 2) promoting destinating marketing of the Sea of Azov region; 3) improving destination excellence; and 4) promoting tourism industry partnerships.  Key to the development of new tourism products in the region will be the National Nature Parks located on the Azov Sea Coast.

The Azov Nature Park consultant will support the development of tourism brochures and websites for the National Nature Parks on the Sea of Azov coast as well as inventarization of nature and archeological tourism sites (parks, reserves, etc.) within 50 km of the coast. 

Objectives and Duties

•  Improve/redevelop the websites of up to three national nature parks, coordinating with the parks’ management, ERA staff, and the creative agency designated by ERA 
• Improve/create tourism brochures for up to three national nature parks, coordinating with the parks’ management, ERA staff, and the creative agency designated by ERA
• Prepare an inventory of nature and archeological tourism sites (parks, reserves, etc.) within 50 km of the Sea of Azov coastline

Output/deliverables 

•  Websites of up to three nature parks improved/redeveloped
• Brochures with maps developed for up to 3 nature parks published, available on-site and online in Ukrainian, Russian, and English
• Inventory of nature and archeological sites on paper as well as an electronic version where the sites are mapped

WE OFFER

Contract length: February-May 2020 with level of effort totaling  up to 25 days

Duty station: Kyiv with travel to Urzuf, Melitopol and Genichesk

Payment: daily rate is deternined based on your previous consultancy rates and market rates
