Competitive Economy Program

Chemonics International, a global consulting and international development firm, seeks multiple grant and procurement management professionals for the USAID-funded Competitive Economy Program. This five-year program will encourage startup businesses and small and medium sized enterprises, increase domestic market competition, and support the competitiveness of Ukrainian firms in international markets. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Chemonics is specifically recruiting for the following staff to join our Kyiv-based team:

Grants/Procurement Assistant. This position will support the administration of grants, subcontracts, and vendor agreements, including solicitation, selection, and recordkeeping. The grants/procurement assistant should have the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, administration, or related field.

  • Experience in grants administration and procurement/subcontracts. Familiarity with USAID rules and regulations regarding grants and procurements preferred.
  • Experience in and/or good understanding of procurement procedures of international organizations, including initial selection, negotiating budgets, reviewing reports, and recordkeeping.
  • Working proficiency in basic office computer applications, including MS Word and Excel.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines and work in fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity.
  • Proficiency in English and Ukrainian required.

Grants Accountant. This position will be responsible for accounting and administrative support related to grants and subcontracts. The grants accountant should have the following qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.

  • Prior experience in administration, accounting, or grants management.
  • Experience in project administration tasks, including filing and budgeting.
  • Proven experience demonstrating attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity.
  • Proficiency in English and Ukrainian required.
