Project Overview

Pact is recruiting a Project Manager for GAC-funded project Women of Ukraine: heard, capable, resilient. The goal of the project is greater realization of human rights and access to high quality services among women and girls in Ukraine and the advancement of gender equality across the country.

Position Purpose

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall technical and managerial leadership of the entire project, ensuring an integrated vision among different components and actors, and a focus on achieving the results defined in the agreement. This individual will be the key liaison with the national and sub-national women’s rights organizations, and all other counterparts and implementing organizations involved with gender equality programs in Ukraine. This individual will be expected to identify issues and risks related to project implementation in a timely manner, and suggest appropriate program adjustments. This individual will be expected to offer solutions to problems that arise in this complex development environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall technical direction of the project and management of project activities, providing leadership to the project team to ensuring high quality programming to achieve project results
• Strategic and operational planning, including timely preparation of the project annual workplans;
• Effective coordination and engagement with all Project stakeholders;
• Ensuring high quality standards of technical assistance and support to Project stakeholders;
• Managing Project communications with key stakeholders, and the general public;
• Other tasks as required to achieve the Project Results.

Basic Requirements

• Advanced degree in a discipline related to social services, human rights or international development
• At least 10 years of project management experience, including implementing a complex program in the field
• In depth knowledge of capacity development tools and approaches, including experience in building capacities of CSOs
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders
• Fluency in English (verbal and written)
