The USAID Competitive Economy Program (CEP) is seeking grant applications under the Request for Applications (RFA)-2020-015

Dear Applicant:

With this Request for Applications (RFA), the USAID Competitive Economy Program (CEP), implemented by Chemonics International, seeks grant applications from Ukrainian non-governmental organizations (NGOs), private enterprises, and/or private entrepreneurs, to support the competitiveness of Ukraine’s film industry through increased availability and improved skills of the creative and technical talent within Ukraine’s film industry, by providing access to best practices of international filmmaking.

This will be achieved through the development of an Excellence Training Program (ETP) on the technical and managerial skills required for various stages of film production, including production and post-production. The ETP should cover major skills needed by the film industry; the ETP should be available online for producers and film professionals from different regions of Ukraine. The ETP will contribute to improving the operational and financial performance of participants, thereby increasing their potential for growth in sales, investment, and labor skills/productivity and/or employment.

The application process will consist of a single stage. Applicants shall submit an Application (Annex A) and Detailed Grant Budget (Annex B), using the templates provided. Application materials will be reviewed by a selection committee on a monthly basis, or more frequently as determined by CEP.

Project and Chemonics employees may not ask for, and applicants are prohibited from offering, any money, fee, commission, credit, gift, gratuity, thing of value, or compensation to obtain or reward improper favorable treatment regarding this solicitation. • Representation by Corporation Regarding A Delinquent Tax Liability or a Felony Criminal Conviction (per AAPD 14-03)
• Prohibition on Providing Federal Assistance to Entities that Require Certain Internal Confidentiality Agreements – Representation (May 2017).
